The Wessex & Combes Cluster brings together 25 farmers and land managers across nearly 12,000 hectares of the North Wessex Downs.
Together, we are restoring nature, improving biodiversity, and building more resilient farm businesses across this iconic chalk landscape.
We are part of Chalkland Revival, a growing farmer-led partnership spanning over 40,000 hectares, showing what’s possible when farms work together at a landscape scale.
Our focus is simple: thriving wildlife, resilient farms, and a landscape that can sustain both into the future.

We work together to deliver nature recovery on our farms, test and scale new approaches, and build the partnerships and confidence needed to create lasting change.
Why It Matters
The chalk landscapes of the North Wessex Downs are nationally important and under growing pressure: wildlife is declining, water systems are stressed, and farm businesses are navigating rapid change.
Working together at scale allows us to go further, faster.
As a cluster, we deliver greater impact for nature than farms can achieve alone, reduce risk through shared learning, and create coordinated, investable opportunities for long-term funding and landscape recovery.
